Orchard is delighted to welcome a number of new housing organisations to its portfolio of finance customers. Bolton at Home, Langley House Trust and Orwell Housing have all chosen the OpenAccounts financial management solution from Orchard, together with Orchard’s expertise in helping housing organisations to deliver value from the solution. In addition, Orchard is delighted to secure a new 5 year agreement with the Orbit Group to continue supporting OpenAccounts.
All these organisations expect more than just the delivery of a Finance system that satisfies their financial regulations. Indeed, with Orchard Financials the value of the solution is delivered through a powerful combination of an award winning finance system and Orchard’s substantial specialist sector expertise and knowledge. It’s that expertise, insight and determination to manage change and improve outcomes that really sets Orchard apart from its competitors. This is proven, in part, by Orchard being awarded best ABS (now Advanced) OpenAccounts Business Partner for the 10th consecutive year.
Each of Orchard’s three new customers were looking for a finance solution that would transform business-critical financial functions.
Of particular importance to Orwell Housing was the need to provide additional functionality and improved processes across its business, ultimately leading to gains in productivity and efficiency. The automated production of financial reports and KPI reporting will create further efficiencies and improve the speed of access to information. Chris Wyer, Director of Resources at Orwell Housing said, “We are very excited to be working in partnership with Orchard and look forward to a long and successful working relationship. We are confident that the OpenAccounts package will enable us to improve both day to day transactional processing, together with our management reporting and will save time and provide better information.”
Langley House Trust’s objective is to improve efficiency in the activities performed across the full breadth of its finance function and to provide accurate and pertinent management information for stakeholders throughout the organisation. From this transition, Langley House Trust will improve internal controls, particularly in expenditure controlled via purchase orders, whilst also improving the facility to report and analyse live data across the organisation to give key performance indicators within all operational areas. Richard Floy, Head of Finance at Langley House Trust said, “Langley House Trust is excited about the platform that OpenAccounts will provide to enhance the understanding and analysis of the organisation more effectively. Furthermore, OpenAccounts will enable us to improve the efficiency of our controls and processes.”
As a modern, forward thinking housing organisation, Bolton at Home required an integrated Financial Management and Procurement solution to deliver business change and efficiencies across its business. Commenting on the partnership, Edward Mellor, Director of Finance at Bolton at Home said, “Staff at Bolton at Home are looking forward to implementing the OpenAccounts solution alongside experts from Orchard. We expect the system to make a significant difference to the way we work and to the quality of information we receive from our finance system. We can’t wait to get going with implementation of the system in time for our 2017/18 financial year.“
For Orchard’s existing customer, Orbit Group, continued support of the OpenAccounts Finance system was required. Since the original implementation of OpenAccounts in 2005, Orchard has enjoyed a successful twelve year relationship with Orbit Group, who are celebrating their 50th anniversary as a housing association. Orchard’s primary objective is to ensure that Orbit Group continues to get the best out of its investment in OpenAccounts and that efficiencies are delivered across the whole of the organisation.
It’s the capability of a fully integrated finance solution offering functionality specific to the Housing sector with flexibility and scalability to evolve with customers, coupled with Orchard’s ability to deliver a Finance solution that exceeds expectations and addresses real day-to-day concerns whilst still delivering to the ‘Value for Money’ agenda, which essentially is why Orchard Financials continues to achieve high levels of adoption in the sector.
Don’t just take our word for it.
