This 5 year contract includes the support and maintenance of the Orchard Housing system. NIHE is the strategic housing authority and largest social housing landlord in Northern Ireland managing approximately 90,000 properties.
This contract is part of a wider IT Futures project for NIHE. Other important aspects of the IT Futures project involves migrating their core IT infrastructure including Orchard Housing and the hosting of business applications, to Northern Ireland’s Government IT Shared Services organisation – IT Assist.
Orchard has secured resources from the incumbent managed service provider to ensure continuity of service to NIHE. Under this new contract Orchard furthers its service provision with extended out-of-hours support and system monitoring through a Managed Service provision. This is provided seven days per week across all eight of NIHE’s Orchard Housing environments.
