Orchard Secures Isle of Anglesey Council Housing Management contract

As part of a substantial six figure contract over seven years, Orchard has been commissioned to deliver a comprehensive business solution based on its flagship housing management system, Orchard Housing. The solution will also encompass Orchard Mobile and Orchard Asset Management.

As part of a detailed procurement process, Anglesey chose Orchard having been impressed with both the capability and flexibility of its core Housing business solution. Paul D Harper, IT Project Manager, Isle of Anglesey County Council said, “This was an important aspect of our decision making process as we needed a solution which could help with our new strategic aim to promote and protect the interest of the Island.”

“We set out some key priorities to build and support sustainable communities, promote healthy, safe and fair communities and provide business like and affordable services. These aims and objectives seek to ensure the provision of high quality services for the people of Anglesey through raising service standards and providing quality at the first point of contact. These progressive and changing working practices need to be supported by a responsive and up to date IT system, hence our procurement of the Orchard system.”

The Council’s area is defined by the island of Anglesey (Ynys Môn), off the North Wales coast of Wales. The Council is one of the smaller local authorities in Wales, and in November 2006, resolved to retain its social housing stock of approximately 4000 properties.
